Dahi Pohe or Rice Flakes and Curd

This is a creamy calcium rich recipe, that’s perfect for the summer months. Enjoy this recipe either as breakfast or an evening snack. You can enjoy a vegan version of this dish by simply substituting the animal sourced milk & curd with any plant based unsweetened milk & curd of your choice! .


10 Mins quick and easy recipe perfect for the hotter months!

Ingredients:

3 to 4 cups of thick Rice Flakes/Pohe

2 Cups curd

1 tbsp Milk

Green Chillies or Jalopeneo pepper as per your taste

(I have used 8 in this particular one)

1 Cup chopped coriander

1 tsp asafetida

8 Curry leaves (optional)

Serves 4:

Procedure:

1. Place the Pohe/ Rice flakes in a sieve and rinse them with water. After they have soak water, strain the water completely.


2. Place the pohe in a vessel or kadhai. Add curd, milk & mix well.


3. Add salt & sugar as per your taste. Mix well.


4. Take a small kadhai/ small deep pan to make a tadka. Add oil, when it heats up add mustard seed.


5. After they splutter add the green chillies, hing and curry leaves.


6. Pour the tadka over the pohe and mix well


7. Garnish with coriander and serve
