Chickpea Flat Bread / Besan Chila/ Dhirda

This protein packed #vegan #breakfast dish goes by many names - #Besan #Chila or #Dhirda or a Chickpea #flatbread if you may. One of absolute favourites as a child ! Can be made in 5 minutes and in all seriousness is consumed in less than 2 minutes. Team it up with some green chutney or tomato sauce & it will be like heaven in your mouth!

Ingredients
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup besan or chickpea flour
2 Tsp ginger- garlic-green chillies paste
½ Cup chopped coriander
Procedure
1) In a large bowl , mix all the ingredients together
2) Add water a little at a time to make a batter
Tip: The batter should not be too thick or too runny. The trick is to add a little water at a time, stir and see whether the batter is of a pouring consistency.
3) Add salt according to taste
4) Lightly grease a non-stick pan with oil , allow the oil to heat up and spread 1 Tsb of batter in the pan to make a chila or dhirda
Tip: Pour the batter on the pan only when the oil gets hot.
5) Keep covered for a minute
6) Put some oil along the edges of the dhirda
7) Now, flip the dhirda & cook the other side on medium heat
