Cabbage Semolina - Coby Upma/ Golden bowl

This is a twist to the regular upma. We’ve added shredded cabbage to give it an added mineral & fiber boast. The cabbage also adds a crunch to the upma. Great taste and great health – Golden bowl.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 Cup shredded Cabbage
2 Cups Rave
1 Tsp Asafetida/ Hing
8 Green chillies chopped
2 Tbsp Curds
1 Tsp oil
8 Curry leaves
½ Tsp turmeric
Procedure:
1. In a pot on low heat, dry roast the rava for 4 to 5 mins till the rave turns golden brown in colour. Keep aside in a bowl
2. In the same pot on medium heat, add oil. When the oil heats up add the mustards seeds
3. After the mustard seeds splutter, add the green chillies, curry leaves and hing
4. To this add the shredded cabbage. Add turmeric and saute for 3 to 4 mins
5. Add 3 cups of water & bring to a boil
6. Season with salt & s
ugar according to taste and add the curd
7. To this add Rava and Mix
Tip: You can add more hot water as required to make the rave soft and supple.
8. Cover with a lid and cook for 2 to 3 mins
9. Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves
10. Serve hot
